He is still singing (Beatles Come Together at the moment) although he has drunk quite a bit.

Toftwood
I have just come across this thread and yet again Paul, it look like you are puling something fabulous out of the bag. I was so impressed by Felton Lane. I have skimmed through due to time constraints but will read through at a more leisurely pace when I can. Great stuff! Pete. RMweb Gold Popular Post Worsdell forever Posted February 15, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 15, 2018 Second 'shed' almost finished, there's a couple of rows of slates to put on the back. There's a new resident already moved in. The hand cart was stolen from a group of Model Scene boy scouts. I've made a portable hen house to fill the gap between the buildings a bit. I'll need to trim the grass a bit so the ramp will sit on the ground.

RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted March 1, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 1, 2018 Managed to get a bit done on the layout in the last couple of days, after I gave the railway room a bit of a tidy. Put boards 2 and 3 up so I could build up the hillside on board 3, I want this done before the next building is started as I find it easier to cut the ground out than to fill round the building.
RMweb Gold Popular Post Worsdell forever Posted March 22, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 22, 2018 Couple of things t report tonight, firstly the layout has moved into it's new home, not a massive room but it's almost 20' long so plenty of room for it to stretch out. Secondly there's a couple of scratchbuilt H&B wagons that have been (almost) finished. The room is just short of 20' long but only 7' wide, the staging the layout is on is an open frame 2' wide and 16' long, the boards can be spread out and boards put between them to act as work benches while working on individual boards. Felton Lane and most of Greyscroft Mine are stored underneath, their lights and legs are stored on brackets on the walls. Scratchbuilt Hull & Barnsley wagons, see here. And as we're in foreign wagons mode, here are some visitors from around the country, GN, GW, MR, L&Y, LNWR and Furness along with the 2 H&Bs. All attended to by 1489.

RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted March 22, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 22, 2018 This is your post-Great War fleet going by the number painted below the M on the D299? Yes, these will mostly be used for the post war period as the great spread of wagons began, there will be a few non native wagons running pre-war, no doubt they will have brought some pieces of mining equipment, the few bits that couldn't be sourced in the North East. aberdare
Great work Paul, the layout has really come together now and looks very good and the attention to detail is bringing it to life. I hope to see it in the flesh at some time. Jim
