The third photo’ shows 37667 (Leading) & 37610 with a Doncaster - Leeds via Scarborough Network Rail Test train. Seen at Hull, Selby St on the 8th December, 2014. Firstly we see a most atmospheric photo’, in the February gloom, of two WD’s, and two B1’s, 90462, 90670, 61306, and 61255, in Hull Dairycoates, on Sunday the 20th February, 1966. Secondly we have a photo’ of a Pacer at Beverley, which also shows the renovation of the station roof. 142068 Beverley , on the 25th March, 1989. The third photo’ depicts 37610 `T.S. (Ted) Cassady 14.5.61-6.4.08.' as it departs Hull Paragon Station with the Hull - Scarborough leg of train, 1Q05, the 06:45 Doncaster West Yard - Neville Hill T&R.S.M.D, on the 8th December, 2014. Last we have a photo’ which shows 66846 leading a Seamer - Doncaster Decoy rail vac train. At Hull Anlaby Rd Junc running almost 90 min late. 37219 was on the rear, on the 20th February, 2015. Firstly we see, passing beneath the A64 York bypass, 69023 'Joem' as it heads 2E12, the 14.10 departure from Murton Park, on the opening afternoon of the Derwent Valley Light Railway's two-day Centenary Gala, on the 20th July, 2013. The NELPG-owned J72 0-6-0 was visiting the event from the Wensleydale Railway. The next photo’ is of WD "Austerity" 8F 2-8-0 90092 (50B) with an up Class H freight in tow, as it skirts the Humber Estuary and heads west past Hessle Quarry, in c1964. Thirdly we have a photo’ of 37254 "Cardiff Canton" with train, 3J51, the 0952 York Thrall Europa to York Thrall Europa at Gilberdyke, on the 5th October, 2024. Finally, here’s a photo’ of 66846, just to the north of Beverley, on train, 6C52, the 12.45 Seamer to Doncaster Up Decoy on the 20th February, 2015. I much prefer the old to the new. Now, here are some photo’s to enjoy, courtesy of John Turner, Mick Nicholson, Andrew Gallon, Andy Hughes, and Unimog1300L, all on Flickr. Firstly we have a photo’ of WD "Austerity" 2-8-0 90688 is inspected (possibly a hot box on the tender) as it pauses at Brough with a westbound freight, in c1960. The smoke certainly looks like it is a hot box. Next we see 0-6-0 diesel hydraulic Type 1 Class 14 'Teddy Bear' D9523 in the loop at the Osbaldwick end of the Derwent Valley Light Railway., on the 15th June, 2012. The third photo’ depicts 37254, due to running 10 minutes late and the unit ready to depart a quick change of position from one end of the platform to the other see's 37254 catching the shadows at Cottingham at the helm of train, 3J51, the 09:50 York Thrall Europa - York Thrall Europa, while 155345 departs working train, 2R95, the 23:43 York - Bridlington, on the 5th October, 2024. Please note the caption error on Flickr. I believe instead of 23.43, is should be either the 11.43 or 12.43 from York. Firstly we see, and I quote the caption: With the original plan of working from Neville Hill to Derby via Spring Bank Junction out of the window, 97301 is seen here passing through the centre line at Ferriby with the 53 minutes late 1Q14 Network Rail Test Train to Derby. The original plan for the train was to stop and return at Spring Bank Junction however in the end the DBSO, on the other end of the train, lead the tractor and the rest of its train all the way down the docks branch before returning west and passing back through Ferriby Dated the 21st March, 2014. Next is a photo’ of 60085 `Snowdon' as it passes Hessle in charge of train, 6D25, the 08:50 Rylstone - Hull Dairycoates, on the way 21st August, 2024. Thirdly we have a photo’ of WD, 90670, as it heads away past Alexandra Dock signal cabin en route for the sidings, on the 12th January, 1967. No other information is given. Next we see WD, 90013, at Sculcoates, Hull, waiting scrapping on the 13th August, 2013. Thirdly we have a photo’ of s D49/3, 318, Cambridgeshire, at Hessle, sometme in the 1930’s. Apologies for the quality of the photo’ but I wanted to include for historical reasons. Finally here is a photo’ of 1Z18, the 15:40 Scarborough to Swindon running on 17th December, 2016. It was hauled by Western D1015, and is seen at Beverley. The second photo’ shows 37254 "Cardiff Canton" unusually standing under the roof at Hull Paragon rather than in the sidings on train, 3J51, York Thrall to York Thrall via East Yorkshire RHTT, with 37116 on the rear. The 8th October, 2024. Thirdly we have a photo’ showing, fresh from a re-enactment of the Derwent Valley Light Railway's 1913 opening ceremony, J72, 69023 'Joem' clattering over the points marking the start of the line's passing loop. The J72 0-6-0, star visitor from the Wensleydale railway for the DVLR's two-day Centenary Gala, is heading 1Z08, the 13.15 VIP departure from Murton Park, on the opening afternoon, on the 20th July, 2013. Next is a photo’ of 09007 waiting at King George Dock 10 Quay to shunt the steel hoods into the Hull Steel Terminal, on the 27th March, 2003. Thirdly we have a photo’ which shows 20010 and 20098 sitting on Botanic Gardens Depot in Hull on the 29th May, 1978, with 08317 on the right. Finally, we have a look at South Howden station on the former Hull & Barnsley Railway closed to regular passenger traffic on 1st August 1955, but occasional use continued for special workings. This image of LNER (built Hawthorne Leslie, 1925) class A5 4-6-2T 69837 from Botanic Gardens (53B) depot in Hull was made on one such occasion - an excursion to Bridlington, on the 28th July, 1957.
