Interesting pictures Rob, can't believe it's over 11 years since the ballast  job at Hull. I was involved with that and was great to have 20s instead of a 66

Some links might have been useful

Indeed they would but, as I said in the post, these videos were accessed via my TV, where Youtube is one of the source options. The indexing of Youtube, on the TV, is via pictorial indexing as shown in the post above, so I did not have access to, nor used, any addressing data for these videos.

Paul's posting, above, relates to the video to which I referred.

Cheers

Mike

The photo with the Thompson BZ is quite interesting as they must have been on the verge of being banned from passenger trains at this point, officially anyway.  I do like the Thompson 6 wheeled parcel brake, its an interesting vehicle and for a shortish layout makes parcel trains more interesting.

I was on that one!  It was quite impressive for the train to run into the steel handling shed in the docks.  We were delayed on the way back to Hessle Road Jn due to a brake pipe between the coaches bursting, and we had to wait for a fitter to come from Immingham to repair it.
