TangerineWizards
Is any one aware if Pennine Models in Haworth is still trading? I'm heading to West Yorkshire next week and am hoping to pay a visit. The last confirmed opening times I can find are from 2013 from the UK Model Shop Directory.
RANGERS
I believe so, they were attending toy fairs fairly recently, but I can't say whether the shop is still there.
2mm Andy
The shop was still open last Sunday afternoon when I walked past. Don't forget the KWVR shop just down the road too. Andy
RMweb Premium Simon Lee Posted July 4, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 4, 2015 Hi, Open Wednesday -Sunday from 1100, Pennine doesn't stock Bachmann, (though the KWVR shop does and prices are as good as the big box shifters.) HTH
Simon Moore
Both my local shops ten minutes drive away. Excellent shops both pennine models & haworth station. I don't buy from anyone else any longer as I can get everything in haworth plus if you buy from the station shop your putting money into the railway which is belting. RMweb Gold sjp23480 Posted November 2, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 2, 2016 I heard a whisper that Penine Models may be closing down in January, this was picked up second hand so cannot vouch for its authenticity? There are a couple of decent bargains in their latest ad in BRM, which may be a precursor of their closure? If it is true, this will be a great loss. Hoping that someone may be able to shed more light on the situation?Steve :-(
RMweb Premium 31A Posted November 3, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 3, 2016 That will be a pity, if it turns out to be the case. His shop is a gold mine for Hornby and other items which are long out of stock elsewhere!

Richard Scott
Penning models still trading strong. Stuart rents the shop it's the landlord who wanted to sell up but with a long term tenant in place. Hopefully everything sorted and pennine there for a few more years

woodyfox
Just called in today. They are located in a farmyard barn just to the North of Skipton. An absolute goldmine literally packed with models, materials and tools. Lots of O gauge on show. I went in looking for N gauge accessories and wasn't disappointed. Well worth a scenic drive for a visit. Link to the website here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Hobby-Store/Pennine-Model-Shop-269791833143518/ No association. Just a happy customer who likes to see traditional local shops doing well. Cheers Stu

ianmacc
From Haworth? Edit. Answered my own question. Yes I am sure it’s a great shop and I’ll probably carry on my occasional visits and purchases as their stock is excellent - but another high street shop bites the dust. Hadn’t noticed the date of the original post and replies. Having said that, I visited them in Haworth and it seems like only yesterday.
