Worthing Model Railway Club - Annual Exhibition 2024
Saturday 28th September 10.00am – 17.00pm
Sunday 29th September 10.00am – 16.00pm
Worthing MRC are excited to host our Annual Exhibition, bringing together a wide range of model railways, traders and society stands. Full details of each will be uploaded once confirmed nearer the event.
Venue:
Durrington High School, The Boulevard, Worthing, West Sussex, BN13 1LA
Refreshments & hot food will be available throughout the show. The event takes place at a spacious venue, and includes free parking and disabled-friendly access.

0What is Rapido RailEx?
We’re putting on a show! Over 2 days in September we are taking over the Market Hall in Maidstone with an exhibition of high-quality model railways.
This is also a chance for you to come and meet the Rapido Trains UK team in person to discuss projects past, present and future, see new samples as well as getting the scoop on some new and exciting announcements we will be making!
In addition to this, we’ll have trade stands for you to invest in your model railway including the chance to get 3D-scanned by Modelu for your own personalised 3D-printed figures, grab some rolling stock from some of our Official Retailers, beautify your layout with products from some of our partners and much more.
A number of layouts are being confirmed as we speak but include Wendover (MET/LNER Joint) Hobbs Hill (BR(S) and Brewhouse Quay with trade support from MODELU, The Wagon Yard and Tony's Trains of Rugby with many more to follow. Keep an eye on the website over the coming weeks.
Customised Rapido Wagons – An Exhibition First!
You will have the chance to order your own uniquely decorated Private Owner wagon at the show!
Simply fill in the form at our stand when you place your order and our graphic artists will draw up the artwork for you to approve on the day. Then your 7- or 5-plank PO wagon will be UV-printed with your chosen lettering and posted directly to you.
All our PO wagon designs will be made using templates created from our painstaking research into real-life signwriting to create the most authentic look.
Tickets
Tickets for RAPIDO RAILEX are just £5 per adult. Kids are FREE when accompanied by a paying adult.
Each ticket covers 1 day of attendance at the show, you are free to come and go during the day.
ADVANCE TICKETS: If you book your ticket now (via the website links below), then you are automatically entered into a prize draw to win Rapido Trains UK goodies! You’ll find out if you’re the holder of the winning ticket when you arrive at the show.

0On Saturday 28th September 2024, the Risborough & District Model Railway Club will be holding a Model Railway Exhibition at Haddenham Village Hall, Banks Road, Haddenham, HP17 8EE from 10:00 to 16:30. The exhibition will feature the very best local layouts, trade support and demonstrations. There will be second hand sales, refreshments, and some modelling displays. Admission is £6 for adults and £1 for children.

Adults £5 - Children £2 - Family (2 adults + 2 children) £11
Eleven layouts, two traders, two societies. Refreshments.
Reading Buses routes 17 and X4 stop close to the venue (Three Tuns bus stop). Earley Railway Station is a 15 minute walk.
Limited disabled access. (The show is over two floors and there is no disabled access to the upper floor.)

Perth Model Railway Exhibition 2024

Excellent exhibition, good layouts, good stalls, good chat - some of the aisles were a bit narrow for the Saturday crowd, some congregating at entrypoints making it harder to get in/out of the halls. Spent two or three times my intended budget on stock and tools :) The event is showing as "repeats every day forever" but I suspect it actually ran just two days?

French Railways Society Summer Rendezvous

I really enjoyed this. It was well laid out and thoughtfully arranged (Car park being free on a Sunday was a nice touch). Signage from M25 appeared great (although I already knew the venue) and it was a good mix of conti layouts with just enough trade.
Only criticism is that some of the tables supplied by the venue were VERY LOW so non self-supporting layouts were difficult to view from above. Maybe have some folding crates for those to sit on might help.

Shrewsbury Festival of Model Railways

Absolutely lovely event, friendly, well organised, central location in spectacular St. Mary’s church.
Easily travelled to by train from Wolverhampton, just a short stroll away into town.
Wide range of superbly detailed layouts and specialist exhibitors and traders.
Lovely catering and well organised, very relaxed atmosphere.
Favourite layout had to be Ashford by Ashley Smith, such love put into it and highly crafted.
Well done to all

New Forest Model Railway Society - Brockenhurst, Hampshire - Exhibition

Enjoyed exhibition. I came by train and had lunch at the Foresters Arms. I enclose pictures of Pine Wood, Ipleigh Castle, Parts Unknown and Castle Bevan.
I was interested to see that the Hornby Terrier locomotives would run on 9" radius curves at Iplegh Castle. The Parts Unknown TT 120 layout was the second exhibition layout I have seen in that scale.
