Well, what do you know, no activity on the blogs for ages then two come along at once.

I gave the chassis a good old scrub. I must admit I was surprised how well it came up. I then blackened most of it to help with the paint and thoughs horrible wear edges. I then gave it all another scrub. My hands are not used to all this wearing of rubber gloves.

Then it was back to the acid 8 primer. I am really happy the way it has come out. There are one or two bits to tidy, but that is not the end of the world. It was after priming that I spotted my deliberate mistake. Some silly s*d forgot to redrill the front body fixing hole in the centre of the cylinders.

Well now it is to the tender and its chassis. Still uncertain whether to leave centre wheel srung or to compensate. The Loco body needs to be detailed, has any kind soul a photo of the pipework on the smokebox ejector? Please and thanks. the major task I think is the backhead there seems to bealot to it going by all the lovelly photos I have.

Stunning detail! Can't wait to see this develop.

Thanks, I am quite pleased with it. You just can't imagine how bade it was when I got it. I have been messing with it for a couple of years on and off. More off than on.
