The chassis has been continuing slowly but surely, again meetings with architects and engineers about our house. I think I now have it ready for painting I will add it to the other bits then I can get it up and running under power.

I have got the injectors fitted beneath the cab these are from Laurie Griffin. The brake gear I had to fix. I could not see an easy way of making it detatchable using the hangers that came with the loco but it is not to much of a problem it is easy enough to get the wheels on and off.

The valve guides were fitted to the rear of the cylinders, twice. I did not check the movement of the valve spindles before soldering so I has to swap them over, easier than unpinning spindles from the combination lever. The white metal cylinder fronts were also added. I had to make one new platform support as it seems I lost one in the move, the oil boxes were then fitted to them.

I needed to adjust one side of the compensation. The white metal main springs were added with suitable trimming.I also found I had no cylinder pressure relief valves so I will have to make some I think I will add them after painting now. Then it was onto the ashpan emptying leaver which even if I say so myself looks the part. Sanding gear aad that was that. I don't think I have missed anything.

So off to the paint shop with it.

Superb. Sounds like you've brought a stock of detailing items with you to Brazil?

Thanks Snitzi and Rob. I am trying my best. I don't think it was actually the kit that was bad, but the original construction.

Thanks Mikkel, I tried to make sure I had the bits for all the locos I had before I came. I have a few bits to get still for a few locos. but as long as the cost is not great you seem to get it through customs with out charge.
