Rolling Stock Projects
Over the past year or so, I've been getting more and more into kit building, rolling stock particularly. I've discovered its a great way of introducing unique stock onto my layout, bulking out existing consists on the cheap, or simply a way of keeping myself busy in the evenings. I've also been working on improving some RTR stock too, with the aim of making the selected vehicles a little more unique.
Bachmann Standard 12t Van & Dapol GW Cattle Wagon, repainted with appropriate lettering and details to suit.
An old Airfix GWR 5-Plank wagon, repainted with new transfers, couplings, and load of wooden planks.
GWR 'Mink', built from a Parkside kit.
GWR 'Mink D', another built from a Parkside Kit.
GWR Low roof, 6-wheel siphon, restored from a poorly constructed K's kit.
By far the dullest vehicle in the collection, an old K's Dean 40' passenger brake. Just a few remaining transfers to be added to this one when the opportunity arises. I do love it though.
GWR Clerestory third, built from a Slaters kit. Two lavatory composites and a brake third also from Slaters await construction.
GWR 'Toplight' third, also from a Slaters kit. This was the first Slaters coach kit I attempted, and I've never really looked back since. Hopefully I can lay my hands on more in the future.
There we have it, just a selection of recent projects. Now, time to crack on with that H33 dining composite...
