Work has been a bit manic the last few weeks, but it has been nice to be able to spend 20 minutes here and there adding small details to this little loco.

Couplings at either end, which is not a good description, because everything is technically pushed from the static wagon at the back as the track moves under it, the couplings are better described as buffers!

Elf and Safety requested a heat shield on the exhaust as it was so close to an open doorway.

A new driver from a recent Bachmann, narrow gauge Scenecraft range, which meant I needed steps and handrails.

An obligatory length of chain across the front, seems lots of narrow gauge loco models include one, and a generally tidy up of paint edges.

Question, I realise narrow gauge is a niche sector, just wondering if posting in the blog section is as frequented as starting a thread in the main forum?

Posting in the forum will probably get you more views and likes, if that's a priority. Most people never make it to the blogs, or forget them, or don't like the format.

I like the blogs because they provide a more structured format, and it's easier to go back and find things. But both formats have pros and cons, and I think RMweb is richer for having them both. You could also have a daily thread and an occasional blog, not unusual.
