Followers 1 Class 37 , 421 blasts up the 1 in 48 gradient away from Meanach heading towards Perth. For some reason some of the fleet do not get photographed as much . 421 is a bit of a 'problem child ' electrically and always seems to have mysterious gremlins ! 4

meanach 1,688 Posted September 15, 2017 Cheers , much appreciated . Its the first layout I've built in 25 years . Although it's been built a few years now but there's always bits to alter or add , as I'm sure you know! Link to comment
RMweb Gold young37215 12,125 Posted September 15, 2017 RMweb Gold If I may, I would comment that the headcode and marker lights appear very bright. This is something I experienced with Loksound chips and their default settings. I managed to address the issue by seeking peoples guidance on this forum, if you are interested the attached link takes you to the discussion and provides dimming solutions for V3.5 and V4 chips. I have applied these to my fleet and in my opinion the changes make a big improvement. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/117575-dimming-headcode-lighting-with-loksound-v4/ Link to comment
meanach 1,688 Posted September 16, 2017 Hi . Thanks for that . Yes , I agree , they are way too bright. I have adjusted some on a friends loksound programmer. I'm tending to do them as I fit them with ESU power pack (makes them run like a dream !) and double dumbo speaker . 421 hasn't been through the works yet! Link to comment

I had some good trips back in the day. Link to comment

I spent many days when I was 15 /16/17 years of age bashing 20s on the Derby - Llandudno then off for a spin on the coast behind some n.b ped or duff or tractor . Even had 47323 dragging a dead DMU down the Blaenau line once . Link to comment

I only actually did the coast a few times, one of those places I always planned to do more of but never actually did as much as I wanted. If you have any pics from back then feel free to add them to my layout thread. Link to comment
