King George V renunbering
Time for another King....
This one started as the shirtbutton liveried example in the bargain Bristolian pack I managed to acquire in Hawkins fire sale. It makes a much better starting point than the King James model I used for my other two Kings. Better yet this one actually has been wired properly!
Sadly they forgot to use glue in its assembly, and so far the lower rear lamp irons, a tender buffer, a tender front handrail, the speedo drive and a pipe have all fallen off. Sod's law the name plate was very well glued on though!
Not a lot to say about the mefhod, other than using a shirt button king means the transfer for the crest hides the shiny patch left by the old logos removal. The other benefit is there is no need to mess about moving lamp irons on the front! For more details have a look at the other Kings blog.
The real difference on this conversion has yet to be completed, with the model awaiting a brass bell from PDK.
