Just testing to see how it's starting to look

This evening, after adding a few bushes, weeds, and scenic bits at the cottage end of the layout, I thought I'd take a few pic's to see how it is starting to look when some rolling stock is added to the mix.

I'm not sure about the yellow flowers in the field, also I feel the grass texture in the field is looking a little flat but over it's begining to feel OK.

Very nice indeed. The ground texture in the yard is especially inspiring. The yellow flowers look fine to me.

It's been great to watch this scene develop.  I think the fields and hedges look very good and I also think the yard texture, including the puddles, is excellent.  Perhaps, those trees at the back need improvement, to match the high standard of the rest.  If you can find a way to prevent shadows on the backscene, please let me know :)

Many thanks for the kind and constructive comments guys.

 

I'll be working on the trees next week. The two in shot were the first two I created so may need some additional work. I'm undecided about the back screen. May have to leave this decision until after the Lincoln Show.
