What is a large model collection?

What constitutes a large model railway collection, and what are the largest by volume in the UK? I have often asked how collections compare, and have recently had to itemise mine for removalists and insurance. My son and I have two collections, his continental N gauge is 85 locos to the good, about 200 carriages and similar number of wagons. My British Railways OO is 980 (nine hundred and eighty) locos strong, and approx 4000 number of carriages and wagons. Mostly Lima and Hornby, so not as valuable as other makes, but we are interested to hear of other large collections?

As it is a question, this looks more like a forum post than a blog - you would probably get more discussion that way  - blogs tend to be less widely read.

does the scale have anything to do with it, as an N gauge lad (event though I have other scales don't tell the other half) surely two of my loco's equals 1 00 gauge one and so on lol

My wife thinks my collection of 70 locos and dmu's along with 150 coaches and around 250 wagons is large, all oo.
